Blue Sky Thought - Assassins

Assassins come in more than one shape or form.

I inhabit a world where I encounter wounded and broken people who have suffered at the hands of those who have smiled and spoken kindly. Always good to examine our hearts to ensure that we are always WYSIWYG* - this is the call that being Christian places upon us.

Spot On!

I left Church 20yrs ago because of this - I still believe but cannot stand the hypocrisy and the backstabbing that plagues Church and society today.

Doesn't it say that our Yea is Yea and our Nay is Nay?

Great point, I hope those who need to read it do.

Absolutely agree with you both

Mind you the biggest culprits I find are humanists because theres often little humane or honest about them

There are wolves in sheep's clothing. I called one a sadistic hypocrite, but you didn't hear me. You are sound, so that's okay. It's probably beyond comprehension, if you haven't experienced it.

Thanks for the comments - wouldn't it be so nice if we were all transparent and lived as we wanted others around us to live.

I hope you're inviting me to forgive. I do forgive; God help my unforgiveness.

Always

It is only by repentance and forgiving others that we find the freedom to live without the duplicity that may have wounded us in the first place.

It is only through reconciliation and that through the love of God as shown through His Son that we have any hope.

May God bless you

Thank you very much. I did ask the minister for mutual forgiveness and reconciliation, but was refused point blank through an intermediary. As a layperson with aspergers this made me very upset, as it came across as an accusation of reprobation and an invitation to suicide, which I refuse to believe it was. As you say, it is only through Him that either of us have any hope, which I suppose it is all meant to indicate. Bless you too.

Been thinking about that last post and am struggling with the response from the minister.

How can a minister refuse?

All well and good being human, engaging in righteous anger and all that stuff but we're called to be somewhere different to that.

Now sad :-(
